This is a swiss army knife of a commander, able to provide anything you need from ramp, to recursion, removal, card draw, or a dragon

There isn't a ton of lifegain in the deck, so coming back from the burn can be a struggle

You wont get many damaged opposing characters to target, and the single Merida Gifted Archer is unlikely to happen at the same time

We also have a number of strong Rebels that came along later, like the Pacifism aura Bound in Silence or Whipcorder
