They also have an ability that reads, Whenever a player attacks one of your opponents, if that opponent has more life than another of your opponents, that attacking player draws a card, and you put two +1/+1 counters on a creature you control. While this isnt a traditional approach to a +1/+1 counter deck, having a slightly more political flavor to the whole affair can be a lot of fun
While Kroxa's enter the battlefield trigger causes an opponent to discard a card, this Simic card provides absurd amounts of value, gaining its controller three life, drawing them a card, and allowing them to play an additional land

Ni No Kuni has a similar combat system to what is so well-loved in Pokmon games but elevates it with the unique aspect of players being able to control the human characters and have them fight alongside their familiars in battle
