While black uses some generic discard effects to gain card advantage or punish certain strategies it is all about the targetted discard for disruption
For me playing this card, its almost always likely to be the former
Refuse // Cooperate Izzet commanders focusing on instant and sorcery spells like Sevinne, the Chronoplasm and Rootha, Mercurial Artist will Refuse // Cooperate with this card in their build
While he can certainly perform admirably within the context of this precon, I believe that youll probably get more mileage out of this deck by replacing Szarekh, the Silent King with one of the other commanders if you plan to upgrade this deck to play in higher power tables
Its an endless army in a can for Aggro or Aristocrats decks, in a similar vein to Bitterblossom
Not only does he make every Dragon cost less AND give you a card advantage, but he lets you cheat permanents onto the battlefield whenever you attack
